A Secure Back Yard With Elegance

This fence and gate were built as part of a project to secure back yard access for a couple a few months before the due date of their first child. It features self closing hinges and a magnetically actuated latch. We added LED post caps, an arched top and decorative port hole to the gate to add some style to the project. We strongly prefer magnetic gate latches due to their latching reliability. A conventional gate latch depends on being closed with enough force to raise the hasp, but not so much force that the gate bounces back before the latch can close. A magnetic latch reliably closes regardless of force. The increased safety is well worth the increased cost. We included this example because it demonstrates Nivara's philosophy that safety and style can coexist, without compromising either. A little extra effort and upgraded materials brings the two together.
